En familie på 6 som var offer for Sri Lankas flyvevåbens angreb d.29 november, fortalte BBC i går om deres oplevelser. BBC`s rapporter fortalte at det har været en kamp at få bekræftet nyheder fra konfliktområdet da journalister er forment adgang til området. BBC fik i går kontakt til en knust familie i Kilinochchi som stadig er i behandling på Tharmapuram sygehus i Kilinochchi. Det drejer sig om en enlig mor, hendes forældre og hendes 3 børn. Kvinden fortalte at angrebet fandt sted om morgenen. Hendes far var dræbt på stedet, mens alle andre blev såret. Kvindens mand havde netop forladt hende og familien og hun selv var højgravid. Hendes ufødte barn døde ligeledes som følge af angrebet. Hendes mor mistede sin ene arm. 2 af børnene blev kun lettere såret, men det 3. barn, en dreng på 7 år som blev såret i maven er stadig indlagt. Den behandlende læge fortalte til BBC at drengen aldrig vil komme til at gå igen, da han er lammet fra livet og nedefter. Beretningen kan høres her, men er på tamilsk.
