மட்டக்களப்பு – மாவடி மும்மாரி மாவீரர் துயிலும் இல்லத்தின் சிரமதானப் பணி இன்றைய தினம் ஜனநாயக போராளிகள் கட்சியின் ஏற்பாட்டில் நடைபெற்றது. குறித்த சிரமதானப் பணியில் பொதுமக்கள் பலரும் கலந்து கொண்டிருந்ததுடன், கொக்கட்டிச்சோலை, முனைக்காடு, மாவடி மும்மாரி, பனிச்சையடிமும்மாரி மற்றும் காரைதீவு போன்ற இடங்களில் இருந்து வருகை தந்துள்ளனர். விடுதலைப் புலிகள் காலத்தில் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டு மரணித்த மாவீரர்களின் சடலங்கள் குறித்த இடத்தில் நல்லடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டு புனித பூமியாக அந்த இடம் இருந்து வந்தது. இந்த நிலையில் குறித்த இடம் அடர்ந்த பற்றைக்காடுகள் நிறைந்து காணப்படுவதால் எதிர்காலத்தில் உயிர் நீத்த உறவுகளை நினைவுகூரும் முகமாக இன்றைய தினம் துப்பரவு பணி இடம்பெற்றது. மாவீரர் துயிலும் இல்லப் பகுதி துப்பரவு செய்யப்பட்ட பின்னர் அந்த இடத்தில் பொது மக்களினால் ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப்பட்டு உயிர் நீர்த்த உறவுகளுக்கு பொதுச் சுடர் ஏற்றப்பட்டு அகவணக்கம் இடம்பெற்றது. மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் காணப்படுகின்ற கிரான் தரவை மாவீரர் துயிலும் இல்லம், வாகரை கண்டலடி மாவீரர் துயிலும் இல்லம் மற்றும் மாவடி மும்மாரி மாவீரர் துயிலும் என தொடர்ச்சியாக மக்கள் துயிலும் இல்லங்களை துப்பரவு செய்யும் பணிகளில் பொதுமக்கள் ஈடுபட்டு வருகின்றமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
